Mindfulness is not only great for your mental health, science has proven it can also help with your physical health, happiness, and even your creativity. That being said, what if I told you that chocolate can be used to help you practice mindfulness and reap the benefits? That’s right! The next time you’re stressed out or need a break, eat some chocolate and read this post to learn how to be more mindful and fully enjoy it. Welcome to Part 2 of The Science of Chocolat Philippe, where we look at, as you’ve guessed, the effects of mindfulness on our minds and bodies.
Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. It is also used widely as a therapeutic technique. Mindfulness is a psychological concept introduced in the 1970s, derived from sati, a significant element of Buddhist traditions for the past 2,500 years. It is a way of paying attention, not to your thoughts, but to your experiences. It is the process of observing your experience in the present moment, without any kind of judgment.
To me, it’s about living in the moment, being aware of your thoughts and feelings, and accepting things for what they are instead of fighting them. Mindfulness is pretty easy; I usually just sit on the couch or a lounge chair in a relaxed position. If you’re a beginner, you can start with just five minutes a day.
There are many ways to practice mindfulness, but if you’re looking for a simple way to practice mindfulness, eating chocolate is one way to do it. You might wonder how chocolate can help you be a better person, but it can actually help you be more mindful and help you to relax. When you are mindful, you are able to think more clearly and recognise your emotions. This can help you deal with your emotions more directly and positively.
It can also help you to be more empathetic and give you the ability to understand and listen to the emotions of others. Chocolate can help you to be more mindful because it can induce feelings of pleasure, which you can use to become more aware of the present moment. When you pay attention to the present moment and your feelings, it helps you to take a step back and see things from a different perspective. And even better, research has shown that if you eat mindfully, it can help you lose weight and feel more relaxed and these are both things that you can experience by eating more of my chocolate!
As you can see, Chocolat Philippe is not just about making exquisite chocolate, there’s science and research behind my approach. To feel more relaxed and happy in life, start with five minutes of mindfulness a day and top it up with one of my bars.
