We are proud to have sourced the remarkable cacao beans harvested by the El Ceibo cooperative, a beacon of organic cacao cultivation since its inception in 1977.

Founded by 12 grassroots cooperatives, El Ceibo stands as a second-level cooperative uniting over 1200 dedicated small-scale producers committed to cultivating premium organic cacao in the pristine Alto Beni region. Their enduring mission since 1977 has been to enhance the livelihoods of their members while championing sustainable agricultural practices.

El Ceibo's legacy extends beyond cacao cultivation; it's a testament to fostering harmonious agroforestry systems. Collaborating with the Program for Implementation of Agroecology and Forestry (PIAF), El Ceibo has been instrumental in promoting the cultivation of cacao within agroforestry plantation setups. Here, cacao grows alongside fruit crops, medicinal plants, and timber, creating sustainable and diverse ecosystems.

This visionary approach has positioned El Ceibo as a trailblazer in Bolivia's organic agriculture landscape. Their commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable farming practices serves as a benchmark for cooperatives nationwide.
